Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures and perform x-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols to ensure patient safety and care.
  • Maintain proficiency in operating PACS, DR, and CR Radiologic equipment.
  • Ensure Radiology rooms are well-maintained and stocked with necessary medical and imaging supplies. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging.
  • Utilize immobilization devices effectively to achieve optimal imaging of the specified body area as requested by the physician.
  • Communicate procedures to patients to alleviate concerns and secure their cooperation.
  • Position imaging equipment accurately, assess exposure parameters based on patient characteristics, and adjust controls to produce high-quality images.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.
  • Conduct both specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program.
  • Certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT-R) and ARRT Certification.
