Position Overview
The Senior Patient Authorization and Referral Representative is responsible for executing a range of patient-focused administrative functions to assist the Social Work team within the Care Management Department. This role operates under the guidance of the Social Work team to facilitate patients and their families in navigating their discharge plans and overall care strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct administrative tasks that prioritize patient needs.

- Collaborate with the Social Work team to ensure seamless care transitions.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent educational experience.
- Training in medical terminology.
- Proven experience in patient and family interactions.
- Background in healthcare settings providing customer service and administrative support.
- Familiarity with insurance payer processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health care training coursework.
- Educational courses related to healthcare.
- Certification in MS Office upon hire.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
