Overview

REESE LAW GROUP APLC is a distinguished law firm that focuses on various legal services, including debt recovery, subrogation, and bankruptcy matters.

The IT Support Specialist role is integral to the Information Technology department, primarily addressing help desk inquiries and providing troubleshooting assistance. Flexible scheduling options are available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT support for a legal office comprising approximately 65 personnel at a single location.
  • Identify issues and gather pertinent information for effective troubleshooting.
  • Configure and deploy workstations for both new and existing staff members.
  • Manage and resolve issues related to various applications utilized in the firm's daily operations.
  • Install software and apply necessary updates or patches.
  • Conduct printer setup and troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate telephone and VOIP system setup and troubleshooting.
  • Enhance the firm's operational efficiency through IT support, providing recommendations to the IT department and management as needed.
  • Maintain the firm's database, including electronic document uploads.
  • Document solutions and update existing IT documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with other IT personnel and office staff.
  • Adhere to a regular and punctual work schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A strong familiarity with computers, operating systems, and software in various settings is essential. Previous help desk experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficiency in Windows 10 is required.
  • Education: Completion of some college coursework in IT-related fields is preferred. A CompTIA A+ certification is a plus but not essential.
  • Skills: Proficient use of Windows 10 and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to independently seek assistance online for software-related queries.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with WordPerfect is beneficial but not required.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to proactively learn new concepts, seek further information, and ask colleagues for clarification when needed.
  • Time Management: Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Communication: Strong ability to convey information effectively to team members and other staff.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to work in a seated or standing position for extended periods, exceeding 8 hours daily.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Physical dexterity to bend, twist, and maneuver as necessary for equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Frequent use of a mouse, keyboard, and calculator.
  • Extended periods of viewing a computer screen.
  • Occasional use of a telephone.

Work Schedule

Must be available to work a full-time schedule on-site, as determined by the IT Manager.
