Position Overview

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary patient care team, you will deliver nutritional services and education tailored to the specific needs of our pediatric patient population, aligning with the medical center's mission and values.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years in pediatric clinical nutrition.
Preferred Qualifications
  • N/A
Educational Background
  • Master's degree along with 5 years of pediatric clinical nutrition experience or 8 years of relevant experience.
Certification Requirements
  • Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Georgia.
  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), or any specialty certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nutritional assessments based on age and developmental standards.
  • Recommend suitable medical nutritional therapies for assigned patients and assess their responses to these therapies.
  • Educate patients and families on nutritional therapy, ensuring the information is age-appropriate.
  • Engage families and caregivers in the patient care process, providing effective education tailored to their learning needs.
  • Advise groups on pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as necessary.
  • Adhere to departmental standards for documenting all work-related activities.
  • Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and evaluate dietetic interns/students.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed, including committee participation.
