Job Overview:
As a key member of the multidisciplinary patient care team, you will provide essential nutritional services and education tailored to the needs of our pediatric patients, aligning with the core values and mission of our medical center.

Experience Required:

  • 8 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • N/A
Educational Background:
  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition or 8 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition.
Certification Requirements:
  • Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Georgia.
  • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), or any specialty certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nutritional assessments using age-appropriate standards.
  • Recommend and evaluate medical nutritional therapy for assigned patients, adjusting as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families on nutritional therapy, ensuring it aligns with developmental standards.
  • Engage families and caregivers in the care process, providing tailored education to meet their learning needs.
  • Advise on pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as needed.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of all work-related activities.
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and assess dietetic interns/students.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required, including committee participation.
