Position Overview:
As a vital member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, you will provide nutritional services and education tailored to the specific needs of our pediatric patient population, aligning with the medical center's mission and values.

Qualifications:

  • Pediatric nutrition experience in either inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred, though not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with pediatric populations.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Medical Dietetics, or a related field.
Certification Requirements:
  • Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed dietitian in Georgia.
  • If not currently possessing RD and/or LD credentials, these must be obtained within three months of hire.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nutritional assessments using age-appropriate and developmentally suitable standards.
  • Recommend and evaluate medical nutritional therapy for assigned patients, adjusting as necessary based on their responses.
  • Educate patients and families regarding nutritional therapy, ensuring that the information is suitable for their developmental stage and learning needs.
  • Advise groups on pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as needed.
  • Adhere to departmental standards for documenting all aspects of work-related activities.
  • Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervise and assess dietetic interns/students.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development responsibilities.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required, including participation in departmental committees and annual competencies.
