Start Time: 8:00 AM
End Time: 4:30 PM
Employment Type: PRN

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts thorough nutritional assessments based on age-appropriate developmental standards.
  • Formulates and recommends tailored medical nutritional therapies for patients, monitoring their responses and making necessary adjustments.
  • Educates patients and their families about nutritional therapies, ensuring the information is accessible and relevant to their developmental stage.
  • Engages families and caregivers in the care process, providing effective education that meets their learning needs.
  • Delivers presentations and guidance on pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as required.
  • Adheres to departmental standards for documenting all work-related activities.
  • Collaborates as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Supervises and evaluates dietetic interns and students.
  • Maintains ongoing professional development responsibilities.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as needed, including participation in committees.

Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition.

Education Requirements
  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience in pediatric clinical nutrition or 8 years of experience in the same field.
Certification Requirements
  • Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Georgia.
  • Certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), or any specialty certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
