Job Overview:
As a key member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, you will deliver nutritional services and education tailored to the needs of our pediatric patient population, aligning with the core mission and values of our medical center.

Experience:
Pediatric nutrition experience in either inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pediatric populations
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Medical Dietetics, or a related field
- Current Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Georgia licensed dietitian (if not currently possessing RD and/or LD credentials, these must be obtained within 3 months of hire)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct nutritional assessments utilizing age and developmentally appropriate standards.
2. Recommend suitable medical nutritional therapy for assigned patients, assess their responses, and adjust as necessary.
3. Educate patients and families regarding nutritional therapy, ensuring the inclusion of family/caregivers in the care process and providing effective education tailored to their learning needs.
4. Offer guidance to groups concerning pediatric nutritional therapy and community nutrition as needed.
5. Adhere to departmental standards for documenting all work-related activities.
6. Collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
7. Supervise and evaluate dietetic interns/students.
8. Maintain responsibilities for professional development.
9. Undertake additional responsibilities as required, including participation in departmental committees and annual competencies.
