Legal Administrative Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Legal Department at Collins Family & Elder Law Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and paralegals, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities- Document Preparation: Assist with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary.
- Research and Data Entry: Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals, and use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department.
- Office Administration: Handle office correspondence, including responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines.
- Client Support: Keep all client files organized and up to date, and assist with other administrative tasks, such as data entry, copying, filing, etc.
- Communication: Respond to incoming phone calls and emails and make sure the right people receive all important information, and be responsible for small errands such as bank deposits, courthouse runs, FedEx, etc.
- Time Management: Keep track of all billable time and record same in our case management system.
- Organizational Skills: Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position.
- Education: Some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical Skills: Must be able to type at least 50 WPM, and be able to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products.
- Customer Service: Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, and strong organizational skills and communication skills.
