Position Overview
Crowell & Moring LLP is a prominent international law firm with a presence across the United States, Europe, MENA, and Asia, dedicated to representing clients in various legal matters including litigation, arbitration, regulatory issues, and corporate transactions. Role Summary
The Global Trade Compliance Specialist will primarily focus on U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty investigations, alongside other unfair trade practices. This role is crucial in providing administrative assistance and exceptional client service to the International Trade Group, ensuring that critical deadlines are met within established protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys and clients in completing necessary Commerce and ITC questionnaire responses, including sections A through D (cost), APO filing procedures, and Commerce verifications.
- Assist in drafting case and rebuttal briefs for Commerce, as well as pre- and post-hearing/conference briefs for the ITC.
- Facilitate the finalization and submission of documents at the International Trade Administration (ITA) and the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) concerning U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty investigations through agency systems.
- Monitor case developments at both the ITA and USITC.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper files for AD/CVD cases.
- Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of internal records management and administrative document archiving.
- Assist attorneys with various aspects of unfair trade regulations.
- Interact regularly with clients, vendors, and government agency representatives under the guidance of attorneys.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to deliver high-quality client service to both internal and external stakeholders on complex matters, requiring patience, creativity, and discretion.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite to create effective written communications, including memos, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Intermediate expertise in MS Excel for generating complex reports independently.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage work in a dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining productivity and commitment to work responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in a friendly and cooperative manner to achieve team objectives.
A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
Experience
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the following areas is required (education may be considered in lieu of experience):
- U.S. antidumping and countervailing duty investigations.
- Other unfair trade litigation.
