Role Overview
The Senior Trade Manager, Food and Fibre Exports is a key position within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions, responsible for overseeing the delivery of trade services across regional Victoria. This role requires a strong understanding of global market dynamics, trade regulations, and compliance requirements, particularly in the agrifood sector.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of trade services in regional Victoria, including contractual and reporting requirements, day-to-day operational management, and team development.
- Oversee client engagement pipelines across regional Victoria, identifying priority clients and providing effective business development assistance and referrals.
- Provide one-on-one specialist trade advice to Victorian exporters, building export plans and capability, and connecting them to global markets through trade offices and networks.
The Team
The Senior Trade Manager, Food and Fibre Exports forms part of the ITI Group, which connects Victoria to global opportunities. The team works to build the export capability of Victorian businesses, connect them to global trade opportunities, and promote industry capabilities to international audiences.
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners. They will possess demonstrable experience in trade, international business, or a relevant field, with a commercial orientation and solution-focused approach.
