Facilities Operations Manager

deciBel Research, Inc. is actively seeking a qualified Facilities Operations Manager to take charge of property oversight and administration.
Position Summary:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and supervising property across various contracts and initiatives. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in asset management, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily management of equipment and materials, ensuring they are well-maintained and accurately tracked.
- Maintain comprehensive records for all assets, covering acquisition, storage, distribution, and disposal processes.
- Employ DoD property management systems to guarantee precise and current documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable government and DoD property management regulations and standards.
- Plan and supervise maintenance and repair activities for equipment and materials, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Conduct routine audits and inspections to verify compliance with inventory and condition benchmarks.
- Generate and submit necessary reports regarding property status, usage, and any discrepancies.
- Coordinate logistics for receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and materials.
- Facilitate training for staff on effective property management practices and system usage.
- Collaborate with various departments, including procurement, finance, engineering, program management, and operations, to ensure cohesive property management aligned with organizational objectives.
Educational Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline is required.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, specifically with government and DoD assets.
- In-depth understanding of DoD property management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in utilizing DoD property management databases and documentation.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
- Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing over 30 lbs.
- Comfortable operating in diverse storage and operational settings.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and access various storage areas for equipment and materials.
Desired Skills:
- Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
