The Port of Huntsville is seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of its airport facilities. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in facilities management, leadership, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct all airport facilities maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
  • Manage all maintenance and basic custodial requirements of airport property, including structures, equipment, systems, vehicles, and heavy equipment, grounds, and landscaping.
  • Review construction, renovation, and repair plans and drawings, and submit comments to ensure compliance with airport standards.
  • Coordinate and administer the airport's building management systems, including HVAC, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security, baggage, and Building Automation Systems.
  • Supervise a team of facilities maintenance staff and provide guidance and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, aviation management, engineering, management, or a related field.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, with three years of supervisory experience.
  • Electrical and mechanical licenses are preferred.
