Position Overview:
We are seeking a Logistics Facility Operations Specialist to provide support to the USASMDC Systems Engineering Directorate (SED).

The Specialist will assist the director and subordinate chiefs in the overall operations of the organization, as well as oversee property management for the directorate.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid background in facility logistics analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage property accountability, including barcode installation, serial number tracking, service code tracking, location management, and associated processes.

2. Oversee the property management system, including data management and reporting.

3. Collaborate with external organizations to provide periodic reports to Army command staff.

4. Assist in the opening and closing of labs in coordination with lab managers as necessary.

5. Manage software licenses, including but not limited to Windows, Linux, MATLAB, and others.

6. Oversee hardware warranty management for servers, workstations, switches, etc.

7. Attend and support meetings related to design reviews, facilities, building modifications, and planning.

8. Engage with integration leads regularly regarding all aspects of facilities.

9. Create or assist in the creation of Job Order Requests (JOR) and work orders for facility maintenance.


10. Respond to alarms as part of 24x7 on-call support, which may involve resetting alarms and coordinating with relevant authorities.

Additional Duties:

1. Participate in new facility walkarounds, gathering actions, and providing constructive feedback through punch lists or required procedures.

2. Familiarity with equipment including tools, calibrated instrumentation, computers, servers, and switches.

3. Capable of drafting and reviewing procedures, generating requirements, identifying risks, and offering recommendations.


4. Support the definition of schedules, task assignments, and monitor completion to facilitate integration and checkout activities.


Required Qualifications:

1. Ability to develop, maintain, and identify enhancements for planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirement management processes, tools, risk issues, and opportunity management processes.

2. Basic knowledge of data acquisition.

3. Understanding of laser safety, missile systems, and space systems.

4. Experience with defense system testing in lab or range environments.

5. Familiarity with cleanroom operations and requirements.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Clearance:
Must possess an Active Secret DoD security clearance and maintain it.

Travel Requirements:
Support up to 10%.
