Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Alameda Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at Highland Hospital.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for working in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patient health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, including ordering laboratory tests and prescribing medications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families, promoting healthy practices and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in emergency medicine or a related field, with a strong understanding of clinical procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- One year of experience in emergency medicine or a related field.
- Advanced life support certification, such as ACLS or PALS.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
