Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Alameda Health System is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Highland Bridge Clinic team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide whole-person wrap-around care for patients with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) at our weekday drop-in clinic.
Responsibilities:- Assess, evaluate, and manage the healthcare needs of patients with SUD
- Provide health education and counseling services to patients and their families
- Collaborate with addiction medicine providers, Substance Use Navigators, Social Workers, and Community Health Outreach Workers to deliver comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Valid Furnishing Number issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Valid Certificate as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Number
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- One year of experience in area of specialty (i.e., Cardiology, Neurology, G.I, Rheumatology, Orthopedics, Hematology, etc.)
- PG Residency of ED experience or post-graduate training in area of responsibility
- ACLS, ATLS, SART, dependent on area of specialty
- BLS - Basic Life Support Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification- AHA American Heart Association (Required for Emergency Department or if overseeing or providing pediatric care on a regular basis)
