Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Public Relations Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on the marketing team and be the bridge between our product teams and the media, ensuring accurate and engaging editorial content is shared with our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and draft editorial content, ensuring accuracy by coordinating with product teams.
  • Provide precise and timely responses on behalf of our product teams, securing their validation before distribution.

Media Relations:

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with various publications and media outlets.
  • Supply photo assets and other media materials aligned with content needs.
  • Keep publications updated on new products and technologies from MSI.
  • Develop and distribute press kits throughout the year to keep editors informed.

Media Outreach & Opportunities:

  • Pitch relevant stories to industry publications, effectively showcasing MSI products and technologies.
  • Identify and pursue new media opportunities to enhance brand visibility.

Strategic Planning & Trade Shows:

  • Collaborate on annual media buys and strategic planning with senior management.
  • Schedule, maintain, and follow up on trade show appointments to maximize exposure and networking opportunities.

Press Releases & Communications:

  • Write and distribute press releases directly to media contacts to ensure timely coverage.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations, media coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain media relationships.
  • Proficiency in media distribution software and tools such as PR Web.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
