Position Overview

Hubbell Utility Solutions is on the lookout for an Information Security Analyst with a strong background in safeguarding SaaS and software applications.

The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in establishing least-privilege access controls and ensuring the secure operation of hosted platforms in alignment with industry benchmarks.

Aclara's operational services, sensor technologies, and analytics solutions empower electric, water, and gas utilities to maintain safe, dependable, and efficient management of their distribution systems.

These offerings encompass monitoring, control, and analytical capabilities for the network, in addition to providing the communication infrastructure necessary for managing these systems.

Given the essential nature of the infrastructure overseen by our solutions, demonstrable security is a fundamental aspect of our operations.

Daily Responsibilities

Lead and manage a strategic roadmap focused on corporate initiatives and security-related enhancements for customers.
Implement an operational security framework that identifies vulnerabilities and proposes solutions to secure SaaS offerings.
Develop and uphold comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures governing hosted and SaaS environments.
Collaborate closely with the product management team to advocate for customer-specific needs in our priority backlog and secure necessary third-party security and risk certifications with input from product managers.
Establish standard cybersecurity contractual terms for Hubbell Utility Solutions' SaaS and software offerings.
Address customer inquiries and RFPs as required.
Serve as Aclara's representative for Hubbell corporate security policies.
Oversee and routinely test Aclara's incident response and vulnerability management strategies.
Enhance controls for Aclara's external audit processes.
Promote awareness of the latest cybersecurity trends and internal policies among internal teams and leadership.
Maintain a strategic roadmap for corporate initiatives and security-related customer enhancements.
Act as the product lead during vendor security audits.
Participate as the product lead for annual audits and penetration testing.
Document and manage data destruction practices and policies.
Foster a passion for staying updated on technological advancements, experimenting with new technologies, engaging in technology communities, and mentoring fellow engineering team members.
Encourage innovation, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, inclusivity, creative thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.
Engage with customers as needed to address inquiries regarding Hubbell's security architecture, contractual terms, vulnerability management, policies, and practices.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity capacity.
Proven experience in defining least-privilege application security roles and permissions.
Experience with various single-sign-on technologies and providers.
Expertise in maintaining secure operations of hosted systems.
Strong analytical skills to assess complex designs, identify risks, and recommend solutions.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
Familiarity with cybersecurity for multi-tenant SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Experience facilitating third-party audits, including SOC-II.
Background in product management within a technology organization.
Proficient in developing security measures or programs for telecommunication networks.
Knowledge of implementing a cybersecurity strategy for product development teams.
Experience in developing products using agile methodologies.
Security Certification (e.g., CISSP) is a plus.
Prior experience with FedRAMP is advantageous.
Familiarity with FERC, NERC, or NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
Experience in prioritizing and addressing vulnerabilities.
