Position Overview

As a key player in the Cyber Security domain, the Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for capturing and refining critical information security requirements. This role ensures that these requirements are seamlessly integrated into IT component products and information systems through deliberate security architecture, design, development, and configuration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead development teams in the design and enhancement of information systems or the modernization of legacy systems.
  • Conduct thorough product research and support Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to identify optimal security solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of system concepts and participate in the capability phase of the systems development lifecycle, translating legal and regulatory conditions into effective system security designs.
  • Assist in the creation and documentation of Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and strategic investments.
  • Supervise the activities of Senior, Mid, and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers.
Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • A minimum of 18 years of technical experience is required; if this experience is specifically as a Cyber Security Engineer, it may substitute for a degree.
  • 18 years of experience in government or industry focused on Cyber Security Engineering.
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI clearance and pass a polygraph examination.
Desired Skills:
  • Extensive experience in leading enterprise-level cyber security initiatives involving the architecture, design, development, and configuration of both cloud-based and on-premise systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering Cyber Security solutions utilizing Cloud Technologies such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Experience in engineering Cyber Security solutions that leverage structured and unstructured Big Data.
  • Familiarity with engineering Cyber Security solutions using Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
