Position Overview:

As an Information Security Compliance Specialist, you will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is essential in assisting Information Technology (IT) and business stakeholders in achieving and maintaining compliance across various assessments, audits, certifications, regulations, standards, and requirements through diligent research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and research emerging regulations and standards.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for implementing new regulations and addressing compliance findings.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance controls across WWT.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evidence requests related to compliance controls.
  • Assist in mapping controls to identify commonalities or gaps.
  • Help develop and maintain documentation for audit and compliance activities.
  • Coordinate audit activities, including logistics and resource scheduling.
  • Manage audit vendor requirements and documentation through vendor portals.
  • Assist in creating and communicating audit plans, timelines, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training on controls, standards, and regulations for audit teams.

Qualifications:

  • Document risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and action items related to compliance activities.
  • Develop and communicate status updates on compliance efforts through meetings and logs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with departments such as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Act as the primary analyst and liaison with Identity and Access Management teams to implement and manage centralized access controls.

Essential Skills:

  • Understanding of audit and compliance methodologies.
  • Familiarity with System and Organization Controls (SOC) audit reports.
  • Knowledge of information security best practices and frameworks, including NIST, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27000 series, and OWASP Top 10.
  • Awareness of risk assessment methodologies.
  • Understanding of relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or Risk Management, or equivalent experience in InfoSec Audit and Compliance.
  • Relevant InfoSec certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and statistical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a capacity to influence others.
  • Professional skepticism to ensure sufficient evidence when assessing information security controls.
  • Understanding of business processes, risk management, and information security strategies.
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement.
