Exciting Opportunity: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: West Bend, WI (Approximately 50% Travel Required)

About Our Organization:

We are currently in search of a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in guaranteeing that our suppliers consistently provide high-quality components, materials, and services. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including sourcing, procurement, quality control, manufacturing, and engineering, to address supplier-related challenges and conduct assessments to uphold quality benchmarks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold standards for Supplier Quality Assurance
  • Assist in the evaluation and development of suppliers
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to resolve supplier-related challenges
  • Implement quality enhancement systems with suppliers, focusing on process management
  • Evaluate suppliers' capabilities to meet specifications and provide constructive feedback on product designs
  • Review and authorize supplier submissions
  • Lead efforts to resolve critical quality issues using systematic problem-solving techniques
  • Support third-party evaluations related to supplier qualifications
  • Facilitate expedited product delivery from suppliers in urgent scenarios
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Advanced Quality Planning and relevant tools
  • Strong communication and analytical capabilities
  • Quality certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Certified Quality Engineer
