The New Product Introduction Group, part of the Integrated Supply Chain Organization, acts as the central point for internal stakeholders to receive guidance and meet customer requirements. The New Product Introduction Engineer is tasked with overseeing the transition of new products and processes from the engineering phase to manufacturing. This role collaborates closely with product engineering to establish manufacturing specifications within the New Product Development framework. This position is crucial for the effective and timely rollout of new products, operating with a degree of autonomy and exercising significant decision-making authority.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop standardized processes for New Product Introduction, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, and operators to ensure a seamless transition of products from initial development to market readiness.
  • Oversee customer samples and product qualification builds, coordinating with the operations team to provide necessary instructions.
  • Mobilize required Integrated Supply Chain resources to support specific product needs.
  • Offer expert guidance to the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process for designated products.
  • Ensure that manufacturing ramp-up plans are established for assigned products, aligning all stakeholders on expected outcomes, covering topics such as:
    • Capacity analysis
    • Capital and tooling plans
    • Plant layout requirements
    • Production routing
    • Work instructions
    • Quality assurance plans
    • Labor and training needs
    • Packaging and shipping processes
  • Lead the Limited Production Run (LRiP) process, ensuring material availability and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing gross margin.
  • Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) during the introduction phase.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a preference for Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degrees; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficient in advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, particularly in indirect leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with all management levels, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
