Job Title: Seasonal Food Operations Manager
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced food operations manager to join our team at HAMSA COOKING INC. This is a seasonal position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day culinary operations in our summer camp kitchen located across the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas
- Responsible for safe, efficient kitchen workflow and delegation of kitchen tasks
- Assist in developing menu items for special dietary restricted guests; Gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options
- Develop and follow standardized recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation
- Minimize food costs, exercise portion and quality control of all food produced
- Follow and maintain safe food production systems and procedures
- Coordinate food preparation and meal service using rotational menus for up to 400 guests daily
- Maintain effective quantity control based on camp food consumption
- Interact with campers and staff while maintaining an enthusiastic and welcoming attitude
Qualifications:
- Must pass a background check to work around kids in the USA
- A minimum of 5 years culinary experience (summer camp experience preferred)
- ServSafe Food Manager Certified
- Previous experience in food safety training, culinary arts, large scale cooking and other related high volume culinary fields
- Ability to produce large quantities and delegate production of food
- Knowledge of food storage, prep, cost and labor systems
- Prioritization and leadership skills
