Culinary Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing menu plans, coordinating food preparation and service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. They will also work closely with the Food Service Director to ensure efficient labor management, quality control, and cost control.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned chef to lead a team of kitchen personnel and create memorable experiences for campers and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for food and cooking techniques, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menu plans to meet the dietary needs of guests.
- Coordinate food preparation and service to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Food Service Director to manage labor, quality, and costs.
- Lead a team of kitchen personnel to achieve high-quality food production and presentation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, preferably in a summer camp setting.
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification.
- Previous experience in food safety training, culinary arts, and large-scale cooking.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Valid US driver's license.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
