Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Surety Underwriter to join our team at Allianz Trade North America. As a key member of our Surety Team, you will be responsible for marketing and underwriting our assigned Surety portfolio within your region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to maintain and expand our Surety business in the US, working closely with our Regional Surety Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local brokers, identifying new business opportunities and underwriting profitable Surety accounts.
  • Conduct thorough underwriting activities, documenting all decisions and recommendations in a transparent and consistent manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Americas and internationally to leverage Surety capabilities and existing customer base.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, attending local Surety events and industry groups as requested.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of industry experience, with a proven track record of underwriting and growing a Surety portfolio.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Surety in the US, with a strong understanding of local market dynamics.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Established relationships with local brokers, with a proven ability to develop business and drive growth.
  • 4-year college degree in business, economics, or finance.
