Job Overview:

As a Senior Commercial Surety Underwriter at Allianz, you will be responsible for marketing and underwriting a portfolio of Surety business in the US. You will work closely with the Regional Surety Manager to execute the strategic business plan and maintain existing broker relationships. Your goal will be to develop and underwrite a profitable portfolio of Surety business through active engagement in the Surety marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to grow the Surety portfolio in the US.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local brokers and underwriters.
  • Conduct thorough underwriting activities to ensure accurate risk assessment and portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Americas and internationally to leverage Surety capabilities and customer base.
  • Attend industry groups and local Surety events to stay up-to-date on market trends and best practices.

Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of industry experience in Surety underwriting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Surety in the US.
  • Entrepreneurial skill set to establish and achieve goals and objectives.
  • Established track record of developing business with brokers.
  • 4-year college degree with emphasis in business, economics, or finance.
