Job Title: Program Leader

Status: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $20/hour

Overview: This position is for a Program Leader at a company dedicated to enhancing educational experiences and mentorship for students. In this role, you will guide a group of students, acting as a mentor, coach, and role model. Your primary focus will be to cultivate a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that aids in student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with homework, provide academic enrichment, and facilitate physical activities according to the established curriculum.
  • Foster an inviting environment that promotes a sense of community.
  • Encourage students to make constructive choices and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Engage students through thoughtfully designed lesson plans and activities.
  • Ensure the safety of students and maintain cleanliness at the educational or community site.
  • Encourage positive interactions between volunteers and students.
  • Communicate student needs to relevant stakeholders.
  • Commit to the program for an entire year.
  • Participate in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth and the ability to motivate and inspire them.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • College coursework or successful completion of an Instructional Aide Test may be necessary.
  • Effective communication skills in an educational environment.

Background Checks/Testing:

  • Successful completion of a Live Scan (criminal background check).
  • Submission of a clear TB test.
  • Passing scores on Math and English skills assessments.
