Job Overview

Join our team as a Production Packer and Assembler, where you will play a crucial role in the packaging and assembly of various automotive and marine components.

Key Responsibilities

Packer Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual packaging tasks and operate machinery to fill, label, band, tie, pack, and wrap products securely.
  • Monitor operations and assess packaged items to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Verify product quantities and seal containers accurately, applying necessary labels or stencils.
  • Count, weigh, transport, stack, and organize products and packaged items efficiently.
  • Document essential information such as weight, time, and date of packaging.
  • Inspect materials and products at each stage of the packaging process.
  • Report any defective materials or mechanical issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Gather and sort items for packaging and replenish packaging supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Be flexible to assist in other production areas and work overtime as required to meet customer demands.

Assembler Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow work orders, production drawings, and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Align and position components correctly using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.
  • Utilize various methods such as crimping, welding, or soldering to secure parts together.
  • Install completed assemblies into cases and cabinets as required.
  • Attach labels and hardware to assemblies, ensuring proper assembly.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks including cleaning, bonding, and color-coding components.
  • Operate machines that shape or wind component parts effectively.
  • Adjust materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional requirements.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean, following standardized procedures.
  • Observe safety protocols and use materials and equipment responsibly.
  • Report any defective materials or mechanical failures to the department supervisor.
  • Pay close attention to detail, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Organize finished goods on designated pallets and prepare them for packaging.
  • May assist in calibrating equipment to meet precision standards.
  • Be adaptable to perform other related duties as assigned and work in various production areas as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience or training.
