Rapid Composites, LLC is a pioneering company in the field of electro-mechanical design and manufacturing, focusing on advanced composite solutions for various sectors including defense, aerospace, and automotive. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to product development, working alongside a talented team of industrial designers and engineers.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking skilled individuals for various roles within our machine shop, including CNC machinists, toolmakers, and assembly line personnel. We also welcome applications from entry-level machinists and programmers, particularly those familiar with MasterCAM for CNC machining of metal tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining of molds, jigs, and fixtures as required.
  • Setting up and operating CNC machining centers.
  • Programming in MasterCAM is advantageous.
  • Assisting in short-run compression and injection mold sampling.
  • Collaborating with team members to address design and machining challenges.
  • Supporting machine maintenance as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a machining role is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions effectively.
  • Willingness to work second shift hours as needed.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in basic shop mathematics and measurement tools.
  • Understanding of machining processes and material properties.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming and operation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves light to moderate physical activity, including lifting and moving materials as necessary. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in a dynamic environment are essential.
