Position Overview

As the Senior Vice President of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in steering compliance, safety, and sustainability efforts across Tradebe's U.S. operations. This position reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the Executive Team. You will blend strategic oversight with practical implementation, collaborating closely with regulatory bodies, developing EHS tools, and advancing the company's sustainability objectives. You will oversee a team of EHS leaders, enhancing Tradebe's EHS performance within the industry.

Location Flexibility

While the ideal candidate may be situated in various locations, we are open to considering other locations based on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and cultivate a team of EHS professionals dedicated to achieving compliance and sustainability goals through effective influence and relationship management.
  • Design and implement national EHS programs and training initiatives that equip employees with the tools necessary for safe and environmentally responsible practices across Tradebe.
  • Engage with site leadership across multiple facilities to promote effective EHS compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to identify and establish best practices for EHS performance and compliance, including permit management and compliance auditing.
  • Act as a strategic partner in long-term planning and integration of acquisitions and redevelopment projects, fostering relationships with public decision-makers.
  • Build and sustain relationships with essential EHS stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and environmental organizations.
  • Oversee risk management processes, including insurance applications and claims negotiations, in collaboration with the General Counsel.
  • Possess expertise in environmental regulations such as CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, OSHA, and DOT.
  • Manage remediation projects effectively, ensuring timely and budget-conscious closure.
  • Engage with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, EHS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS program development and leadership, with a focus on environmental compliance.
  • At least 3 years of experience as part of an executive leadership team, collaborating with C-Suite executives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor and develop others.
  • Proven ability to align strategic business goals with project execution.
  • Track record of influencing organizational change to establish new programs and initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing objectives effectively.
  • Results-driven work ethic with a commitment to follow through on tasks.
