Position Overview
As the Senior Vice President of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in steering compliance, safety, and sustainability efforts across Tradebe's operations. Reporting directly to the CEO and being part of the Executive Team, your leadership will be essential in enhancing EHS standards across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate a team of EHS professionals dedicated to achieving compliance and sustainability objectives through effective collaboration and relationship management.
- Design and implement national EHS programs and training initiatives that equip employees with the necessary skills to maintain safe and environmentally responsible practices.
- Engage with site leadership across various functions, including Operations and Sales, to promote effective EHS compliance and sustainability measures.
- Work alongside leadership to establish best practices for EHS performance, including compliance auditing and key performance indicators.
- Contribute to long-term planning and integration of acquisitions and redevelopment projects, fostering relationships with public decision-makers.
- Build and sustain partnerships with key EHS stakeholders, including customers and environmental organizations.
- Oversee risk management processes, including insurance negotiations and claims management, in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Possess expertise in environmental regulations, including CAA, CWA, RCRA, and OSHA.
- Manage remediation projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, EHS, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS program development and leadership, with a focus on environmental compliance.
- At least 3 years of experience as part of an executive leadership team, collaborating with C-Suite executives.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and developing team members.
- Ability to align strategic objectives with project initiatives.
- Proven success in influencing organizational change and implementing new programs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Results-driven work ethic with a focus on task completion.
