Position Title: Dispatcher

Department: Dispatch

Reports To: Dispatch Manager

Overview of the Role:

Become an integral part of our team as a Dispatcher, where your expertise will be vital in facilitating and overseeing the needs of our drivers. In this position, you will be the essential link that guarantees efficient operations, clear communication, and effective scheduling for our transportation fleet.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Dispatch Operations: Manage both outbound and inbound dispatching activities for drivers, ensuring prompt and precise coordination of their schedules.
  2. Driver Assistance: Maintain regular communication with drivers, conducting multiple check-ins throughout the day and providing support for any challenges they encounter.
  3. Equipment Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the equipment utilized and address any permit-related matters.
  4. Issue Resolution: Skillfully handle complex situations such as load refusals and update driver profiles with relevant feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficient in computer systems and technology
  • Excellent communication abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, positive attitude
  • Adaptable to change and committed to continuous process improvement

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM, including participation in an on-call rotation while equipped with a laptop and phone.
