Job Summary

The Certified Neurodiagnostic Technician plays a crucial role in performing sophisticated neurodiagnostic assessments across various settings, including specialized labs and operating rooms. This position involves monitoring multi-modality studies during surgical procedures and conducting long-term epilepsy monitoring with both scalp and intracranial electrodes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct advanced neurodiagnostic procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
2. Perform complex intraoperative neuromonitoring studies, including EEG, EMG, and Evoked Potentials during various surgical interventions.
3. Execute long-term monitoring for epilepsy, utilizing both scalp and intracranial electrodes.
4. Assist in the performance of nerve conduction studies and EMG testing as needed.
5. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and hospital policies, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A degree from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic technology program or equivalent training.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 months of relevant work experience.
  • Certification from the American Board of Registration of EEG and EP Technologist (ABRET) or equivalent credentials.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Extensive knowledge of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology.
  • Proficiency in electrical safety practices related to neurodiagnostic equipment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Compensation

Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications, with a typical range for new hires falling within the minimum to midpoint range.
