Job Summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors and technicians in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and patient assessments to identify potential health issues
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
  • Prepare and assist with dental procedures, radiology, and laboratory work
  • Administer medications and perform venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals and assist with patient recovery
  • Use fear-free handling techniques to ensure a positive experience for patients and clients
  • Assist doctors with appointments and provide administrative support as needed
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
  • Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
