Position Overview:
The role involves executing pharmaceutical processes for the preparation and distribution of medications, ensuring that medication therapy is safe, effective, and cost-efficient.

The incumbent will engage in various advanced technician responsibilities, which may include:

conducting final medication verifications under the California Board of Pharmacy (CA BOP) approved technician-check-technician program; managing controlled substances with advanced statistical analysis; capturing medication utilization data; performing complex sterile compounding for high-cost or hazardous medications; understanding federal 340B program requirements to optimize procurement strategies while adhering to regulatory standards; and conducting patient medication history interviews along with electronic health record documentation.

Demonstrates sound judgment and has honed clinical skills to provide pharmaceutical support aligned with the patient's care plan based on their diagnosis.

Complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety. Capable of serving as the primary trainer and competency administrator for all assigned tasks.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
