Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Compass Center, Inc. as a Behavioral Therapist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary pediatric therapy agency, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized applied behavior programming to create a fun and rewarding experience for clients.
  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy under the direction of a BCBA, BCaBA, or Tier 2 Case Manager.
  • Teach developmental milestones utilizing ABA techniques and principles.
  • Effectively respond to and minimize challenging or disruptive behaviors.
  • Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system to enter, track, and write a summary note at the end of each treatment session.
  • Provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers by instructing strategies across all areas of the child's environment.
  • Share creative ideas for activities to support reaching target goals.
  • Communicate frequently and effectively with team members.
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) OR be enrolled in a College/University studying psychology, education, or special education or pursuing a degree in a related field. Minimum- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Pass a Background Check.
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid drivers' license, and car insurance.
  • Have at least one year of experience of working with children/teens with special needs (Highly Preferred) OR have at least one year of experience of working with children/teens (Preferred).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT certified), or RBT in process (we will provide further training).
  • Bilingual (Highly Preferred). Sign language a plus.
  • Candidates must display compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
  • The position requires lifting, carrying, frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pediatric therapy agency or related field.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
