Job Title: Area Manager

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a seasoned Area Manager to lead our business unit in delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, inspiring teams, and influencing the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the business unit to achieve safety, operational, profit, sales, and customer KPI goals
  • Manage and grow the key value stream of field service
  • Build and sustain a culture around IPS values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Entrepreneurial Spirit
  • Recruit and develop a top-performing organization while improving overall employee engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimize all resources
  • Strong communication skills with all stakeholders from Executive Management to field personnel to customers
  • Identify and act on industry, market, and Service Center trends using data analysis
  • Demonstrate management skills such as leadership, planning, and organization, resource and talent management
  • Self-aware learner with emotional intelligence to help those around them
  • Leverage best practice to advance facility skills and knowledge
  • Analyze financial data to optimize operational and field efforts
  • Apply Organization Design practices to optimize structure and enable growth
  • Demonstrate ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence
  • Driver for results - insists on excellence in all facets of the business
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and develop effective cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated technical acumen to manage complex field service business with diverse customer segments and multiple product lines
  • Walk the talk on IPS values and be a Servant Leader to remove obstacles, develop the team, meet performance objectives, and improve the business
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related technical degree preferred
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects by delegating appropriately
  • 5 years of combined experience in general management or operations in a power management business preferred
  • 3 years of Lean Manufacturing or 6-Sigma problem-solving skills preferred
  • 3 years of experience managing large-scale projects
  • MBA and Lean Certification a plus
