Your Role

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and seasoned Retail Operations Manager to lead our expanding team. This role involves overseeing revenue generation, ensuring the safety and education of both internal and external customers, and enhancing team member engagement across all dispensaries in Maryland. The individual will provide leadership that guarantees consistent service to customers while aligning with Vireo's short-term and long-term objectives. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by ensuring actions enhance both external and internal customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and the EVP of Retail to maintain adequate inventory levels across all dispensary locations.
  • Offer constructive feedback on product quality to the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Develop and implement market strategies based on competitive analysis and business trends, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to dispensaries and customer complaints.
  • Manage staff effectively: supervise Dispensary Managers, oversee delivery and pharmacy operations, and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Foster a market culture that prioritizes exceptional customer experiences.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives that connect with patients and build brand loyalty.
  • Ensure staffing plans align with corporate strategies through recruitment, onboarding, and training of dispensary personnel.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including reviews and development plans.
  • Ensure consistency between online and retail platforms in collaboration with the Ecommerce team.
  • Participate in team member evaluations and assessments.
  • Assess staffing schedules to optimize resource allocation based on business needs.
  • Motivate and recognize team members to cultivate a positive team spirit.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, tailoring information to the audience.
  • Share insights regularly with corporate teams, manufacturing, medical, and operational partners.
  • Assist in planning and evaluating staffing and operational hours for dispensaries.
  • Ensure compliance with state laws and regulations across all dispensaries and staff.
  • Implement key programs and initiatives aimed at increasing sales and patient engagement.
  • Participate in necessary recordkeeping and reporting for state compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in multi-unit retail management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in training, coaching, and developing team members.
