Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Behind The Scenes Catering & Events. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of food preparation, kitchen management, and event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus for large-scale events, including food inventories, receiving and verifying deliveries, and checking product quality standards.
- Manage kitchen operations and staff, ensuring that food handling standards are maintained and that food and supply orders are properly placed.
- Direct and supervise operations and training personnel, including kitchen staff and event coordinators.
- Participate in client tastings and support event execution as assigned.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and culinary concepts.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in luxury events management and cuisine positions.
- Experience in large-scale events, such as Olympic games, World Cup, and championships.
- Experience in recognized restaurants by Michelin Guide or similar.
- Training in Good Practice, Food Safety, or similar.
- Availability to travel worldwide, bimonthly.
