Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Care Representative to join our team at MSC Industrial Supply Co. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, handling customer inquiries, and driving sales growth through upselling and quoting opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound sales and service customer calls and emails to process orders, troubleshoot issues, and provide general web support.
  • Interact with Field Sales Associates to promote MSC's sales-related solutions, account retention, and revenue generation strategies.
  • Utilize various systems, including the MSC website, AS400, WebSOE, Salesforce, Oceana, and Vendor Websites, to identify and address customer needs.
  • Communicate customer concerns and make recommendations to management to ensure effective problem resolution.
  • Build internal and external customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and improve sales and quoting opportunities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Perform successfully as a Customer Care Omnichannel Representative for a minimum of six months, while consistently meeting or exceeding Quality expectations.
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated sales skills, and proficiency in systems used by the Representative, Customer Care - Omnichannel role.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak and write standard business English.
  • Bilingual ability (Spanish or French) desired.
  • General knowledge of the industrial supply industry desired.
