About the Role

The Senior Business Development Manager at ABM Industries is responsible for developing new and existing business opportunities within a defined territory. This involves working with prospective clients to explore their current service programs and collaborating with a team of operators to develop and implement effective sales strategies. The successful candidate will own the strategic selling process, communicate value to resolve client issues, and orchestrate the sales process from implementation to transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities through cold calls, customer interactions, and networking.
  • Identify, plan, and execute growth strategies and tactics for existing clients.
  • Partner with businesses to co-author unique solutions and develop risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and present pricing options for service and planned maintenance agreements.
  • Benchmark partner facilities to target inefficiencies and develop financial and life cycle analyses.
  • Generate and deliver impactful proposals with professional executive-level presentations.
  • Participate in sales and industry training and convert that training to sales results.
  • Coordinate with the operations and sales team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Track sales activities in Salesforce.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of related sales experience required.
  • Preferred experience within facilities services or other business solution or service sales direct to end-users.
  • Technical expertise or aptitude strongly desired.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to groups and all levels.
  • Leadership of customer engagements and ability to manage the entire sales cycle.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with existing clients and facilitate add-on business and services.
  • Ability to collaborate with other individuals, departments, and teams.
  • Strong ability to write compelling, detailed sales proposals.
  • Must be well organized and able to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously.
  • Motivated to grow professionally, personally, and financially.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com (or similar CRM).
