Job Title: Guest Services Ambassador

Join the City of Minneapolis team as a Guest Services Ambassador, providing exceptional customer service to guests and visitors at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide hospitality information, directions, and assistance to clients, guests, and visitors. As a Guest Services Ambassador, you will be the first point of contact for many guests, setting the tone for their experience at the Convention Center.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist guests with directions, event information, and other requests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Set up and operate coat/luggage check services, including organizing checked items and tickets for timely and accurate retrieval.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty, liaising between clients and Convention Center departments to ensure all event needs are met.
  • Assist guests in the MCC Parking ramp, directing traffic and assisting with payment transactions.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience working in hospitality, retail, or multi-purpose facilities with public and guest-facing interaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
