Responsibilities of the Childhood Communication Specialist:
The Childhood Communication Specialist executes their responsibilities with expertise and professionalism, catering to a diverse age range including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.

This role involves active participation in the advancement and development of the Department/Clinic, including quality management initiatives. At Northeast Rehab, our commitment is to deliver high-quality patient care, with our treatment model centered on outcomes, best practices, and mentorship. All appointments are structured as one-on-one sessions lasting 45 minutes.

Qualifications:
To be eligible, candidates must meet the qualifications of a licensed PT/OT/CF-SLP, with a preference for those having at least one year of experience.

Inpatient Speech Therapists must hold a license in NH. Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Outpatient Speech Therapists are required to be licensed in their state of employment and eligible for licensure in an alternate state (which must be obtained within three months of hire). Inpatient Pease employees will also need a Maine license. Per Diem staff need only be licensed in the state where they will work.

All therapists must be trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR. For those working in the Outpatient Department, a minimum of two evenings per week is required unless otherwise approved by regional outpatient directors. In the Inpatient Department, therapists must participate in holiday and weekend rotations as dictated by staffing needs.
