Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and activities that align with the needs and interests of our students.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes positive child outcomes, including supervising children during activities and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with parents, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless collaboration and a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, meal sheets, and quarterly reports.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support Teacher Assistants, Interns/Student Teachers, and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with daily classroom routines, including cleaning, sanitizing, and other assigned tasks.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing staff development and training to enhance professional skills and stay current with industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Must have a CDA or AA in ECE or a related field, with three months supervised work experience with toddlers and a valid EEC Teacher Certification.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Familiarity with CLASS is a plus; ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including underserved communities and people from different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the day, and frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
