Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily financial operations within the Americas region, including revenue recognition, accounting functions, monthly closing procedures, account reconciliations, and payroll management.
  • Ensure the production of timely and precise monthly financial reports in accordance with all applicable GAAP standards.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of globally standardized accounting policies and procedures to guarantee accuracy and efficiency in financial operations suitable for a multinational public entity.
  • Support a robust control environment and aid in the implementation of key SOX controls to enhance the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Manage the regional payroll operations, including system management and relationships with external service providers.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at scaling operations through process optimization, automation, and offshoring to expedite the closing cycle, mitigate risks, and enhance decision-making support.
  • Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis to monitor actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans for the region.
  • Work alongside Treasury and Tax teams on cash management, working capital, and hedging strategies.
  • Serve as a vital business partner to the Global Finance team and other departments (Commercial, HR, Strategy, Legal, etc.) to support the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Cultivate and nurture a high-performing team through mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and assist in the audit process.
  • Support various ad hoc projects and reviews as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution; certification as a chartered accountant is mandatory.
  • Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, including tenure at a Big 4 public accounting firm and within a multinational public corporation.
  • Experience with IPO processes is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and excel in a dynamic, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong preference for candidates with successful transformation experience, particularly in automation and offshoring.
  • People-oriented leader with a track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams; fostering talent development; and aligning performance with overarching business objectives.
  • High intellect, exceptional analytical capabilities, strong business acumen, and mental agility.
  • A challenger by nature, courageous and fast-paced; comfortable with the rigorous scrutiny typical in private equity contexts.
  • Familiarity with Net Suite, BlackLine, and Coupa is a plus.
