Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Systems and Processes: Manage accounting systems and crypto-specific platforms to track token movements across exchanges and DeFi applications on-chain, and oversee the consolidation of financial statements from multiple entities for tax filings.
  • Internal Audits and External Relationships: Oversee internal audits and manage relationships with external accounting firms.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: Experience managing a finance and accounting function at a high-growth company, preferably within the tech or blockchain industry.
  • Financial Management: Strong understanding of financial management of decentralized or blockchain-based companies.
  • GAAP and Tax Regulations: Broad knowledge of GAAP and understanding of US tax regulations.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Adaptability and Pressure Management: Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing startup environment.
Nice to Haves:
  • Scaling Experience: Experience scaling accounting and finance organizations.
  • Cryptocurrency Knowledge: Strong understanding of cryptocurrency is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Web3/DeFi Background: Web3/DeFi background.
