Job Title: Head of Finance

Join our team as the Head of Finance and play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial strategy. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee all financial activities, from strategic planning to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to align with its long-term goals.
  • Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage and optimize daily accounting operations.
  • Prepare and supervise accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Design and monitor financial controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations, accounting standards, and cryptocurrency industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage accounting systems and crypto-specific platforms to track token movements across exchanges and DeFi applications on-chain.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial statements from multiple entities for tax filings.
  • Oversee internal audits and manage relationships with external accounting firms.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience managing a finance and accounting function at a high-growth company, preferably within the tech or blockchain industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial management of decentralized or blockchain-based companies.
  • Broad knowledge of GAAP and understanding of US tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • An analytical mind with good organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing startup environment.
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience scaling accounting and finance organizations.
  • A strong understanding of cryptocurrency is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Web3/DeFi background.
