Position Overview

Brightspeed is in search of a skilled Regional Operations Supervisor to become part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee technicians in designated service regions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality communication services for both residential and business clients. Your leadership will focus on building a knowledgeable, customer-centric team that actively promotes and sells Brightspeed’s offerings while delivering service experiences that surpass customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operations of both outside and inside plant network services, including the management of technicians responsible for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Acting as the primary liaison between Brightspeed and contractors to address any issues that may arise during construction or maintenance activities.
  • Emphasizing the training, coaching, and development of team members in areas such as new processes, quality standards, customer interaction, safety protocols, expense management, and technical competencies.
  • Leading a team of technicians to meet attendance and performance benchmarks.
  • Representing Brightspeed in interactions with customers and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborating with union representatives to foster a mutually beneficial working relationship.
  • Recognizing and celebrating team achievements through appropriate rewards and recognition programs.
  • Inspiring continuous improvement and striving for peak performance within the team.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing teams in a telecommunications technical setting.
  • Proven skills in employee development, including training and mentoring within a unionized environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and legacy systems.
  • A solid understanding of the installation and maintenance of residential and business services, as well as local network processes.
  • Familiarity with splicing and construction processes in the telecommunications sector.
  • Experience in managing contractor relationships.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others, establishing rapport and providing customer-focused solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A willingness to collaborate with colleagues to complete job assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing teams in a telecommunications technical environment.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of POTS and HSI.
