Position Summary

The Warehouse Order Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This position focuses on shipping, receiving, and order expediting, while also encompassing general warehouse responsibilities such as housekeeping and product handling.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Duties:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Accurately pull daily orders as assigned, ensuring timely completion by the end of the day.
  • Stage orders appropriately in designated areas for efficient processing.
  • Replenish inventory locations as necessary and ensure proper labeling of received products.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts as directed.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment while upholding a secure working environment.

General Duties:

  • Unload and load trucks following established procedures, ensuring compliance with handling guidelines.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to maintain effective inventory control and product rotation.
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Embody the values and mission of the organization in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate respect and courtesy towards all stakeholders, including employees, volunteers, and donors.
  • Receive donations promptly and maintain confidentiality regarding all organizational matters.
  • Oversee volunteers as needed and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum of one year in a warehouse environment, with experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.

Skills: Self-motivated, capable of working collaboratively, and able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Training Requirements
  • Completion of SERV Safe Food Safety Certification.
  • Certification in CPR/AED & First Aid every two years.
  • Annual completion of USDA Civil Rights Training for Food Distribution.
  • Forklift and stand-up lift certification.
Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. The ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions is essential.
