AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS) is seeking a Senior Resource Planning Manager within the Sales Strategy and Operations division to assist the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO). This position is vital within the Sales Strategy and Operations team, focusing on supporting Leadership, Sales, and Operational teams in achieving organizational objectives and boosting field efficiency.
The successful candidate will join the WWSO Specialist Business Planning team, playing a key role in Global, Go To Market (GTM), and Area Specialist resource planning and headcount management efforts.
This role requires the development and enhancement of resource planning strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams, including HR, Recruiting, Operations, and Finance. Responsibilities include analyzing headcount data to offer business insights and propel various SMGS initiatives, including tool and product launches, in a dynamic and complex environment.
Collaboration with AWS business leaders is essential, as the role involves formulating critical business inquiries and delivering insights to effectively address those inquiries.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, sound business acumen, and a focus on essential planning inputs to support key partnerships, prioritize initiatives, identify process inefficiencies, and improve performance.
Key business stakeholders include:Sales Leadership, HR, Recruiting, Cross-SMGS Resource Planning Teams, Finance, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading cross-SMGS initiatives such as the launch of new tools and processes
- Developing and refining strategies to optimize resources across the organization
- Driving cross-functional teams to establish Headcount Management best practices
- Executing implementation, change management, and enablement plans for resource planning
- Providing scalable solutions to complex challenges and conducting data analysis on headcount trends
